Production facilities
Dedicated to steel structures fabrication, raw material storage and dispatch on a single site, from coil reception to the loading of finished components.
Every stage of silo construction, from steel coil to finished component, takes place at our own 47,000 m² plant in Borja (Zaragoza, Spain), with full control over materials, processes and delivery times.
Silo construction begins at the factory, and that is where a storage project is won or lost. That is why every SiloMasters silo is produced at our own plant in Borja, in the province of Zaragoza: cutting, punching, bending, rolling, roll forming and welding all take place under one roof, a short distance from our engineering office in Zaragoza and well connected to Spain’s main export ports.
The plant covers more than 47,000 m² of industrial floor space. Automated roll forming lines, latest-generation laser cutting and automatic punching lines work alongside a permanent stock of 6,000 tonnes of galvanised steel coil in several thicknesses. When a project is confirmed, production starts with the material already on site, without depending on steel availability or market swings.
Engineering and production belong to the same organisation, so the drawings that leave our technical office reach the factory floor with no intermediaries. Every component is manufactured to the calculation of its project, inspected before packing and identified for a fast, orderly assembly on site. This is how we keep production times around 30% faster than the sector average and serve projects in more than 82 countries.
We work to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN ISO 3834-2, with CE marking to EN 1090, and our team of around 50 production specialists has a capacity of up to 50,000 tonnes of steel a year.

Galvanised coil permanently available in several thicknesses, so production starts as soon as a project is confirmed and prices are protected against market fluctuations.
Annual steel processing capacity, sized for large strategic storage plants and for running several projects in parallel.
Three decisions determine how long a SiloMasters silo lasts, how it performs under load and how efficiently it travels and goes up on site: the steel grade, the roof coating and the wall galvanising.
A higher yield strength than the S350GD steel most of the market works with. Walls carry the same loads with less steel: lighter components, more efficient transport and faster assembly, with no compromise on structural safety.
Our protection standard. This zinc-aluminium-magnesium coating offers exceptional corrosion resistance and self-heals at cut edges and scratches, keeping the roof sealed and protected season after season.
600 g/m² of zinc on walls and reinforcements: our standard for long-lasting corrosion protection, even in humid, coastal or extreme climates.
Eight controlled stages, all carried out inside our plant, turn certified steel coil into components ready for assembly. Each stage has its own quality checks, so any issue is solved in the factory, never on site.
Certified steel coil is inspected on arrival, levelled and cut to the exact dimensions defined by engineering for each project.
CNC punching and drilling lines open every hole in panels and profiles with repeatable precision, so all parts fit together perfectly during assembly.
Press brakes form sheets and angles to the geometry each component requires, from hopper plates to roof parts and accessories.
Wall sheets are rolled to the exact curvature of each silo diameter, so rings close accurately and loads are distributed evenly.
Automated roll forming lines produce the corrugated wall profile and the stiffeners that give every silo its strength and stability.
Certified welders join structural components such as hoppers, rings and supports, following the quality requirements of EN ISO 3834-2.
Cut edges and welded areas receive a zinc-based metallising treatment that restores corrosion protection wherever the steel has been worked.
Every part is labelled, packed and loaded for road or sea transport, so assembly crews can locate each component quickly on site.

Everything worth knowing about where and how SiloMasters silos are manufactured.
All SiloMasters silos and their components are manufactured at our own plant in Borja (Zaragoza, Spain), a production centre of more than 47,000 m². We do not outsource manufacturing: engineering, production and quality control are managed by the same team.
Our plant has a capacity of up to 50,000 tonnes of steel a year and keeps around 6,000 tonnes of galvanised coil permanently in stock. This allows us to start production as soon as a project is confirmed and to run several large projects in parallel.
S450GD has a higher yield strength than the S350GD steel commonly used in the market. It allows us to design walls that carry the same loads with less material, so silos are lighter to transport and quicker to assemble, with no loss of structural safety.
As standard, our products are manufactured in Magnelis® ZM310 and in Z600 galvanised steel. Both provide long-lasting corrosion protection, and Magnelis® also self-heals at cut edges. Other coatings can be specified when a project requires them.
Yes. Get in touch through our contact page and we will arrange a visit to our Borja facilities, so you can see first-hand how SiloMasters silos are manufactured and meet the team behind them.
Our manufacturing processes are certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), EN ISO 3834-2 (welding quality) and EN 15085-2 (railway welding, CL1, the highest level), and our structural components carry CE marking to EN 1090. We also work with the management methods of large-scale industry: APQP, PPAP, Lean, continuous improvement and OEM approvals.
Lead times depend on the size and configuration of each project and are confirmed in the offer. Thanks to our steel stock and automated lines, our production times are around 30% faster than the sector average.
