Flat-bottomed silo

Silos

Flat-bottom silos are the ideal solution for large-scale grain storage. Made from high-strength galvanised corrugated steel, they combine large storage capacity with the structural strength needed to store cereals and other granular materials reliably, wherever they are installed.

Built for large-scale grain storage

Flat-bottom silos are the ideal solution for large-scale grain storage, designed for both agricultural and industrial applications. Their corrugated wall gives every silo the structural strength needed to safely hold large volumes of cereals and other granular materials, year after year.

Every panel is made from high-strength galvanised corrugated steel, with galvanised external stiffeners that carry structural loads down to the foundation: a silo built to last in demanding conditions, from coastal humidity to the extremes of a continental climate.

Key features

  • High-capacity storage, optimised for large volumes
  • Corrugated wall for greater structural strength
  • Specifications tailored to each project
  • Calculated to the Eurocodes and international structural standards

Where they are used

Silomasters flat-bottom silos are installed across the food, agriculture, animal feed, biofuel and brewing sectors: wherever large-scale grain storage needs to be reliable.

Questions about flat-bottom silos

Everything you need to know about Silomasters flat-bottom silos.

What sizes of flat-bottom silo are available?

Our flat-bottom silos range from 3 to 32 metres in diameter, with storage capacities from 30 to 26,000 m³. Every project is sized to the specific volume of your operation.

What are they made of?

Every panel is made from high-strength galvanised corrugated steel (S450GD with Z600 zinc coating, or Magnelis ZM310 / ZM430), to the EN 10346 standard, for long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Which sectors are they used in?

Flat-bottom silos are used in food, agriculture, animal feed, biofuels and brewing: wherever large volumes of cereals or granular materials need to be stored reliably over the long term.

Are they calculated to structural standards?

Yes. Every silo is designed to the structural Eurocodes (EN 1990, EN 1991-4 and the EN 1993 series) and, where required, to ANSI/ASAE EP433.

Can a flat-bottom silo be adapted to my project?

Yes. Diameter, capacity, wall thickness and accessories are adapted to your site conditions and the material you store. Use our silo calculator or request a quote to get started.
